Surprise!  An unnanounced, full-length bonus episode just for you from the Two Gomers: Gomerthon 2010!

There’s plenty of fun stuff in this special episode, including thoughts on how the Gomers are feeling 4 days before the race, top five marathon nutrition mistakes, “Peeps are Yucky” and “That Hurts More” memories, two more Songs to Run to, and tons of Full House chat…

Sabre Dance in G, boys!

…but the main reason for Gomerthon 2010 is to remind you to pledge toward our Run for a Cause.  You have four more days to donate (right up until the Marathon on the morning of June 6th), so if you’ve wanted to and haven’t gotten to it yet, now is the perfect time to pledge!

Click here, or on the form at the very top and bottom of this post, to pledge per mile to the charities The Gomers have chosen:  The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Beautiful Child, and International Justice Mission.  If you pledge $1 or more per mile, you’re entered into a drawing for a VERY RARE “Team Gomer” long sleeve T, like the ones The Gomers will be wearing at the start of the race.

And don’t forget to check out the websites for the charities to learn more about these causes that are so close to the Gomers’ hearts.

    Steven,
I have a similar issue with sleep and being in a new bed will throw me off too. As I travel for work this was happening a lot. Here’s a top to help you sleep. Take 3-5mg of melatonin at bedtime. You can get it at any health food store and many pharmacies and grocery stores. It is something your body produces naturally. It gives you a good sleep with lots of REM action and there is no groggy hangover feeling. You just wake up refreshed. Give it a try tonight and if you feel well rested in the am take it each night before bed. It ROCKS!
    Praying for both of you!

My body has a very different reaction to melatonin and indeed feels very groggy the next day. Remember the rule to NOT do or try anything different leading up to your big race day. Your have had so much adversity training, you are probably well prepared for a little lack of sleep. You two are going to do just great . The opportunity to donate to your causes is just another way for us all to take part in this.

Hey dudes! Just wanted to wish you both luck at the race – I know you’ll do great! Also… we tried those late-night cheeseburger Doritos last night. Awesome! The whole family was amazed.

Good luck with the race, gomers! Just ran my first marathon last week and it was an amazing experience. You’ll do great. I can’t wait for the race report.

Maybe a stupid question but how do we pay up once we pledge? Is it just through the Donate button on the website or is there a special way for this?
