Season 2 : Episode 22 – A Little Bit of Normalcy (or: Move That Bus take three)

Who thinks it’s a good idea for Gomer2 to take his meds right before recording, raise your hands.  You might want to listen to this episode before you decide.  The Gomers are back, baby, and doing their best to bring a little bit of normalcy back to the GomerNation.  So expect a lot of the usual – TV Tangents, obscure pop culture references, weird Middle School nostalgia, non-sensical tips, and pipe dreams about who listens to their podcast.

See the earbuds?
See the earbuds?  He’s listening!

And the regular features, too!  Week in Review, Gomer’s Tips, Listener Feedback, Monday Survey, two new Songs to Run To, and two new Rookie Mistakes in the Runner’s Corner.  And make sure you stick around till the end to hear their official announcement about the marathon (again)!

Monday Survey:  The Gomers have safety on the mind…do you have any safety tips to share that they haven’t already?  It’s just nice not to get hit by cars while you’re running, you know?  Happy Running!

I always make sure that there is SOMEONE that knows my route, or a fairly close approximation of it. I text/call/tell my friend (usually husband) when I leave and when to expect me back. He knows if I’m even 10 minutes late and I haven’t called, something’s up and where to start looking for me.

a non-safety tip – in questionable weather (chance of rain), run with a ziploc bag in your pocket… It makes a great waterproof iphone/ipod case in sudden downpours.

Gomer2, I am so sorry about the accident, and that Kingdom Comes is eternally linked with a Smart car. I hope it brought some comfort. I just ran my first half last year, and am signed up for Grandmas in Duluth, MN this summer. I would like to run a full at some point. If I see Tina Fey, I will tell her to listen.
