Season 2: Episode A – Summer in Review

With Season 3 in the works and not starting until late October, the Gomers didn’t want to leave the Nation hanging.  So here it is: Season 2.5, Episode A!  And could it be everything you wanted, and more?  You be the judge as the guys debrief last month’s 1st Annual Gomer Group Run, catch you up on what’s been happening in their lives and on their runs since the marathon, and review the summer in TV and movies.  Spoiler:  They both cried at a 3D movie, and it wasn’t Avatar.

Please stop, youre killing us.

So there you go:  Group Run in Review, Two Months in Review, Running in the (Summer) Media, Listener Feedback, and a brand new Monday Survey.  It’s good to be back, and Happy Running!
This Week’s Monday Survey:  First, what should we name Season 3?  We’re looking for something clear, with an indication of what we’re doing right there in the title.  Second, what impressions/ accents do you want to hear the Gomers do now that we have retired Rachel Ray…

OK, you guys have to help settle an argument (well, not really an argument) between my husband and I… “Big Baby” from Toy Story 3… is it a boy or girl?

Also, thanks for the mention on the podcast! If I can meet my time goal, I have no doubt that you guys can meet yours. (Although, I’m still a little doubtful that I can actually do it. ha!)

Great show, guys. I was super, pleasantly surprised when this episode arrived on my Ipod last night–just in time for my commute to Staten Island today. Okay, I don’t have a good idea for a season-three title, but I do have an impression request and an accent request:
    Steven-will you do Guy Fieri?
    Anthony-how about a Queens accent?
It’s great that you two are back.

    Talk to you soon,
    Bill

Super excited for the new season… One request, can we finally hear some soothing bassoon from Anthony? I know it’s featured in the jingle but I want some raw live stuff. Thanks!

Nice episode! Thanks for answering my question 🙂 Have you considered having a guest every once in a while? Maybe a random guest just for fun, like Third Gomer, or someone with some running experience so you can ask your own training questions during a segment of the show.
My memorable sequence from a Pixar movie: In Ratatouille, when Colette gives Linguini a kitchen tour explaining the inner workings of the place, she takes a piece of bread and explains how to recognize quality bread by the sound it makes when squeezed. Pure joy!
Celebrities to impersonate: Cheech Marin, Fran Drescher, Arnold Schwartzenegger, Moss (from IT Crowd).

Another great episode. Thanks for keeping me entertained and motivated.
I race bicycles from January to August. I try to run during the offseason for cross training. Your podcast got me so excited to run that I ran so much I got hurt. Maybe you need to tone down on your motivating:)
Thanks for alway having great Podcasts
