Season 3 : Minisode 1 – The Gomer Thanksgiving Challenge November 15th, 2010

Looks like the Gomers just couldn’t bear the thought of recording every other week, so here’s a Minisode to keep you going until Episode 2.  There’s some fun stuff in here, but the main purpose of this little installment is to issue a challenge.  Ready?  Here it is:

We challenge you to sign up, TODAY, to walk or run a 5k or 10k this Thanksgiving morning!

You don’t have to dress up, but you get more Gomerespect if you do.

Turkey Trots can be the best time to run a first race, or get going again if it’s been awhile.  Remember – the Gomers were just two regular guys who couldn’t run a block when they started.  Let this be your inciting incident to get out there, start walking or running, and get in shape!

Do it.  Happy Running!

  1. Challenge Accepted! I just registered for the 5 mile run at the Turkey Trot in Manitowoc WI. It’ll be fun knowing that other members of the Gomer nation are running “with” me, all over the nation!

  2. Hey Guys,

Just a quick note with a preface. I appreciate that you guys do this for free and that it’s a lot of work, so what comes next is out of love, not snarky-ness. I think you guys should change your opening a little bit. Steven often says that you guys are attempting something you’ve never done before in under 5 hours. But actually, you guys HAVE done this before. Take the credit, dudes! Might I suggest something like, “Two guys doing something they’ve done before except much faster,” or something like that.

    Love the show–seriously.

Thanks, and I will keep checking for your next show (no pressure, I’m just enthusiastic).
