Season 3 : Episode 10, Part 1 – Big

It’s Anthony’s 32nd birthday, but that’s not the Big News.  Steven has been breaking his training run speed goals left and right, but that’s not the Big News either.  And this episode got so long we had to split it into two Big Parts.  But no, THAT’S not even the Big News.  You’ll just have to wait through the (actually, pretty enlightening) Weeks in Review to hear the Big News in the Runner’s Corner.

Tom Hanks
Shimmy Shimmy Coco Bop, this IS Big News!

Enjoy this, the first of a two-part episode the Gomers are pretty sure you’ll enjoy.  And they’re also pretty sure you’ll NEVER GUESS THE BIG NEWS.

Aw. That’s cute. I bet not even ERIN could guess the news, it’s SO BIG.

See you Friday for Part 2.  Happy Running.

I like the podcast, but you guys whine a lot…still a good podcast, tho…i just think there are worse things in the world than an uncomfortable run or feeling bad for not meeting a goal…

Joe – I like the comment but it sure sounds whiny. I wonder if there are worse things than complaining about the content of a quality podcast you get free of charge? … still a good comment, tho …

Guys, can you please mention Grete Waitz on the podcast. She was so amazing. Thanks, from a longtime fan.

I know it’s not in Gomer taste, but can Jason please get comment of the week?

lol….good one…smart comeback (hats off) lol…to clarify a bit, I guess I just come from a point of view where you either do it or don’t…didn’t mean to offend u tho…i have a football background and we never complained in spite of many difficulties, so that may be why I felt compelled to comment…

but I guess I’m also being a bit whiny in my comments (nice call)

    Anthony

True, it is the same body, but you have to keep in mind, it’s also the same body that will be fully recharged and rejuvenated by three weeks of taper. Keep at it, TRUST in your training, and you guys will do just fine.

I left a comment here yesterday asking that Grete Waitz be remembered in the podcast for her awesome contributions to marathoning. My post is gone. Was it offensive in some way?

Huh, neither of us deleted that, weird. Sorry! Also, we received that comment after recording so we weren’t able to mention that, but thanks for telling us and sorry again for the mix up, definitely not offensive or anything.

What wonderful news, a mini-gomer on the way! Are you going to get a running stroller and take the little one with you on runs?

I am trying to catch up to present day gomers, but am still a couple months behind. Just listened to the big news today, and had to say congrats to Anthony on the new baby! Also, thanks for reading my question about who you think the gomer is on Seinfeld, although I am glad my husband wasn’t around when I was listening to the podcast. He already makes fun of me for listening to you guys. I’d never hear the end of it if he know I had actually corresponded with the gomers. I also listen to Bret with Zen and the art of triathlon and Jeff and Eric with The Age Groupers, and he never makes fun of them. You may have your first jealous husband report, ha ha. Or maybe he just likes to make fun of you. Anyway, love the third season, and can’t wait to catch up to see how you did on your race! Oh, and my favorite gomers tip is to put your jar of natural peanut butter upside down on the shelf to get the oil down to the bottom of the jar before you stir it. Bye!
